State of Health for Electric Vehicles

Garantigruppen in collaboration with AVILOO, a world leader in battery testing for electric vehicles, to offer advanced battery analysis.
January 31, 2025: Garantigruppen now offers the market’s best battery warranties for used electric vehicles (BEV) and plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) that include AVILOO’s battery test certificate. In conjunction with Garantigruppen’s warranty package, car dealers get access to AVILOO’s independent reports, created using the company’s FLASH Test software solution. The certified test method, as a global standard, measures a used electric vehicle battery’s State of Health (SoH), performance, remaining capacity and that the battery is free from defects.
AVILOO’s battery test covers 95 % of all available car brands and is adapted to the most advanced vehicle communication protocols. To create AVILOO’s CARA-certified analyses, which are delivered to the end customer together with the Garantigruppen warranty, car dealers use the simple AVILOO FLASH Test. The test, carried out on a stationary vehicle, is currently the fastest, most comprehensive and accurate way to determine the condition and health of a used battery. The detailed report is sent by email just three minutes after the test starts. In the event of serious battery faults, warnings, so-called “red flags”, are displayed in the report, right down to the cell level.

Increased trust and larger target group
Car dealers who include independent battery test certificates for used electric cars are perceived as particularly trustworthy by their target audience. The 2024 study also shows that the likelihood of selling used electric cars increases by 36% when a full battery test certificate is presented.*
